Are you having troubles
getting filled during a news event?
If you did not get filled in the market for news trades
there are typically three things to look into that can
be challenges from getting in the market (1) internet
connection, (2) Broker, (3) order size.
(1) If your internet connection does
not have a fast upload speed your orders will take a
while to get to the broker. We recommend Broadband Cable,
Fiber connections, or renting a server to have speeds
fast enough to get filled. A faster upload connection
will facilitate a better chance of getting your order
filled.
(2) Your broker might have a very
fast feed, or not allow news trades. If you know of
your broker working for others at news times than this
will not usually be the case.
(3) Most brokers have a limit of lots
that they will fill automatically and if you are trading
more than that number you will not get filled. The broker
will not tell you what this number is, but we are typically
seeing brokers have a cutoff between 15-45 mini lots
($15-45 per pip).

The important information on these reports is the
net capital requirement. You will find the
requirement for the FCM as well as their current holdings
per their latest report. A number much greater than
required is a good number.
